Occasionally, it can feel like two different people live inside of you: Your inner villain and your inner hero. Your inner villain is the internal voice that whispers, “I’m not good enough,”. It’s the inner voice that highlights your weaknesses and ignites feelings of self-doubt. Your inner villain is balanced by your inner hero: the voice that celebrates your strengths and boosts your self-confidence.
Every time you are in stress and anxiety, your inner hero goes to battle with your inner villain. When your inner villain wins, it can cause self-doubt. It is your choice to decide which one you will feed, since that’s the one who will take control of your life.
It’s time to get rid of your inner villain for good!
It’s your inner critic, part of your subconscious mind that refuses to believe you’re good enough to accomplish anything. It’s the voice inside your head that’s always criticizing your performance and making you feel unqualified.
Self-doubt is a mental habit of constantly questioning your qualification, It occurs when you lack self-confidence. Self-doubt also causes you to stay too long in your comfort zone. You might do this because of a fear of failure or embarrassment when trying new things.
Not that, there’s a fine line between healthy self-doubt and unhealthy self-doubt. Healthy self-doubt pushes you to test the water before jumping in. but, unhealthy self-doubt pushes you away from getting in the water.
Past experiences can have a massive impact on how you feel. When you suspect you’re approaching a situation that feels similar to your past negative experience , those uncomfortable emotions can come rushing back. Your subconscious mind will want to do everything to avoid feeling those emotions again. But Know that: Your past does not equal your future. If you constantly live by your past, you’ll never have the chance to capture new opportunities.

Our upbringing plays a huge role in shaping our mental habits. When you’re not given the proper support as a child, you can develop a habit of always questioning yourself
3. COMPARISONS
We all compare ourselves to others in a form or another. We compare ourselves in our work place and even online.. However, not all competition is healthy.
Healthy competition pushes you to try your best and improve your yourself for your own good. Unhealthy competition pushes you to compare yourself to others.Remember, when you constantly compare yourself to others based on what you think you lack, you’ll never be enough. Only compare yourself to who you were yesterday.
4. GETTING OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE
‘Comfort zone’ It’s where you feel the safest. But once you begin to leave your comfort zone, that’s when feelings of self-doubt starts. You begin to think that you’re unable to handle anything outside of your comfort zone. However, you have to leave your comfort zone to grow.
1. FACE YOUR SELF-DOUBT
if you want to beat your self-doubt, you’ve got to face it first! it’s important to get comfortable with your uncomfortable feelings.
2. STOP INTERPRETING THOUGHT AS FACT
The average human has more than 6,000 thoughts in a single day. Some of them are good and some of them are bad. This is why you must stop interpreting every thought as fact. A thought is just a thought.
It’s a mental habit you’ve learned over the years, and majority of the time its not reality. The best part, habits can always be unlearned and changed to good ones.
3. GENERATE A POSITIVE MINDSET
To defeat your self-doubt, you must have a positive mindset. A positive mindset makes you fight back internally when you feel self-doubt. Reframe your negative thoughts in a positive way always.
4. FIND YOUR PURPOSE
Your purpose will spark fire that will fight back your inner villain.
5. BE WITH POSITIVE PEOPLE
By hanging with positive people, you’ll become more adjusted to hearing positive things about yourself, the world, and also opportunities.
6. PRACTICE SELF-COMPASSION
Self-doubt makes you feel like you’re unworthy. you can begin to not like who you are. But Know that: There is only one you in this world and that is unique. Practice self-compassion, remind yourself of your good qualities, values accomplishments even if it is small.
